Newsletter October 2022

Dear Teachers,

In the last few weeks, the TAUS team participated in various teacher seminars and “Fremdsprachentage” in Berlin, Potsdam, Halle, and Rostock. Teachers’ reactions to the Going Green curriculum and especially the new module on “Youth Participation” have been very positive.
More than 6.800 teachers and students have participated in Going Green and its sister project, the U.S. Embassy Election project, since 2012. Student activism is key in the success of “Going Green” and distinguished it from other projects dealing with environmental issues. Needless to say, engagement is needed more than ever in all sectors of society and among all age groups.

Attached to a Blog entry you will find two flyers that we would ask you to distribute among your colleagues.

For more information on our sustainability projects, download the leaflet.

For more information on our Going Green project, download the new flyer.

If you haven’t read the blog entry on the winners of the Going Green competitions 2021/2022, please do so and share it with your students. We hope students will find them inspiring and motivating! You and your students can join the Going Green project at any time during the school year, work with the complete curriculum or parts of it. If you decide to join the competition for the best Sustainability Action Plan, the deadline for the school year 2022/23 is May 26th 2023.
