TEACH ABOUT U.S.

Newsletter April / May 2022

Dear Teachers,

Easter holidays are almost upon us, and afterwards only a few months remain to work with our Going Green materials and join the competition. So please reserve a few lessons to teach about sustainability and encourage your students to develop action plans. In spite of, or maybe because of, all the challenges our societies are facing at the moment, it is more important than ever to feel that our actions can make a difference.

Deadline for action plan uploads is Friday, June 3rd, 2022.

Earth Day 2022

To support your work, we are offering an exciting virtual Earth Day program and hope you and your students will join us on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, 19:00-20:00:

TAUS Blog

If you haven’t read the blog contributions recently posted by Michael Grubb, Savita Joshi and Merve Kambur, please take a moment to do so and share them with your students. Our authors are enrolled in the Digital Journalism MA program at HMKW Berlin and would appreciate your feedback. We will continue the cooperation with HMKW until the summer.

You can send your comments directly to our program manager, Taieb Oussaifi at taieb.oussaifi@leuphana.de.

We will inform you about our plans for a concluding Going Green event and award announcements in our next newsletter. Stay tuned.

All the best on behalf of the TAUS team,

Dr. Martina Kohl
