The U.S. Embassy with generous support by Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation is hosting a final event for representatives of participating schools in Berlin and Brandenburg as well as Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt, Thüringen, and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The event is scheduled for Monday, November 7, 14:30 to 16:15 at Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation Berlin, Hiroshimastr. 17 (Haus 1). Moderator Juliane Schäuble, Der Tagesspiegel, will call upon students as representatives of their adopted state to announce their vote. An interactive map will record results, and expert Dr. Bill Chandler, Professor of Political Science at the University of California, San Diego, will remark on most contested choices. The event will also include an award ceremony for the most creative contributions to the project.

Please consult teachaboutus.org for information on the contest, format of the submissions and the uploading process (deadline is October 30). We will show the winning submissions (or parts of them) at the event.

Funding for travel is, unfortunately, not available.

For final events in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt, please stay tuned. We will announce more information in upcoming newsletters.
