Going Green Project – 2023 Webinar, Q&A Meeting

Dear Teachers,

We are excited to see the progress of this year’s Going Green project, and we are impressed by the innovative ideas and action plans that students have been developing since the start of the project. However, for this school year, we understand that some teachers may have joined the project later than others, which is why we have decided to extend the deadline to June 9th, 2023.

This will provide ample time for all participants to finalize their actions, submit their entries, and have a chance to win the Going Green School Competition. We encourage all teachers and students to take advantage of this extension and submit action plans by the new deadline.

Our Teach About U.S. team is also thrilled to introduce our latest updates, featuring new modules and activities that will inspire and challenge your students in new ways. To celebrate these updates, we are hosting a special webinar under the auspices of Leuphana’s Kompetenzzentrum für regionale Lehrkräftefortbildung Lüneburg on Tuesday 6 June 2023 starting from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., and we want you to join us! During this webinar, we’ll walk you through the new modules and show you how to integrate them in your lesson plans. You’ll also have the chance to ask any questions you may have about the project, its updates and classroom implementation.

But that’s not all – we’re also excited to introduce our newest team member, Mrs. Martina Schulze, our new senior advisor to the project. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team, and we can’t wait for her to share her insights with you during the webinar.
Martina SchulzeMartina Schulze joined the Public Engagement Section of the U.S. Embassy in Berlin in September of 2022 and works as program specialist in the Public Engagement Section with responsibility for programs in the fields of foreign policy, economic security, environment, and global affairs. She has a Master’s degree in American Studies and studied at the University of Hamburg and at Indiana University Bloomington and obtained a second Master’s degree in International Relations from Boston University.
