Overview

We launched the Going Green - Education for Sustainability project in 2014 and have since organized a new project cycle every school year, ending with a student competition for sustainable action plans in the community. The project week curriculum Power to the People - Renewable Energy in the Community was co-developed with science educators at Leuphana University and promotes transdisciplinary learning on renewable energy, including dedicated science modules on this topic. Finally, the module Humboldt 250 - Exploring Global Citizenship was launched on the occasion of Alexander von Humboldt's 250th birthday and traces the legacy of this early global citizen. All projects have a pronounced foreign language focus, but also address education for sustainable development (Going Green), science (Power to the People), and history and social science (Humboldt 250).

Learn more about these projects in the following pages or by visiting the live-demo courses.
