In this task, you will...
- focus and reflect on the ways you were effected by COVID-19;
- research the steps your country, state and more specifically your local city/community took to help stop the spread of COVID-19;
- then brief your classmates on your findings;
- prepare a short presentation/summary of your findings for your partner school.
No one knew how much Corona would change our lives until it already had. It isn't uncommon to see people in the streets wearing masks, rubber gloves or keeping social distance. We have all been effected in different ways, some of our favorite activities
didn't happen this past summer, concerts, fairs, festivals, etc. Although we were all effected differently each person has experienced and perceived the pandemic differently due to their environment, local regulations and the media.
1. Discuss
Discuss as a class how regulations were implemented to stop the spread of COVID-19, how they effected your community, your school, and your personal lives.
2. Group research
As a class research the regulations put into place in your country, state and city to stop the spread of COVID-19. Below you will find a starting source for your research, this is however only the start of your research. Your partner school will
also research how regulations were implemented in their community.
3. Presentation
Create a small summary or presentation to share with your partner school, to help them understand how you were effected from COVID-19.
EXTRA: Prediction
In your presentation or summary, make a few predictions about the upcoming election:

What does this mean for voting, debating or the inauguration?
4. React
After reading/hearing about what your partner school experienced, discuss what you have learned as a class.
- What similarities did each country experience?
- If there are major differences, do you think your community will implement similar regulations in the future?
- Consider the differences based on the sizes of your communities. Do you think the differences or similarities were based on the density of the population, forms of transport, or recreational activities?
